I have always hesitated to use sunscreen while I am climbing due to the greasy fingers factor. This sunscreen is effectively grease free, more so then all of the so called grease free products that I have tried, and it still does it’s job well. Great stuff!
I’m a huge Climb On fan. I use their bar and creme religiously. When they came out with this sunscreen, I was a little skeptical. I prefer a dry sport type sunscreen like Coppertone Sport. I can’t stand most sunscreens which are heavy and greasy feeling. I had assumed that this Climb On Sunblock would be similar in feel to Climb On Creme, which is a little bit greasy. After all, it’s mostly all natural oils, which is why it works so well on hands and skin.
But finally, I tried a sample, and it is more awesome that I could possibly have imagined. It actually dry, non-greasy, and feels totally nourishing all at the same time. I have to say, it’s a truly amazing product. I even use it on my face and have no problems breaking out, though I’m sure your mileage will vary there depending on your skin type.
One note however, unlike the Bar and Creme which I use sparingly as a little goes a long way, I had to use more generous amounts to get the sunscreen protection. But even though I put more on, it still didn’t feel at all heavy or greasy, in fact it felt great climbing all day in the sun. Bravo to the folks at Climb On!
I was looking for a chemical free non-nano sunscreen- and was hoping to find one that would blend in enough to wear everyday- even under make up. This one does, and for that reason it’s a keeper.
I have terrible photodermatitis and cannot go out in the sun at all without breaking out in a blotchy rash and red welts on my face. I even burn through the car window and under fluorescent lights. Finding a good daily sunscreen was essential, especially because I live in Texas and it’s sunny all year round. On top of that, I have super sensitive skin and break out when I even look funny at a chemical. This is the only sunscreen I have ever tried — and I’ve tried many — that keeps me from burning and doesn’t break me out. I even stopped wearing makeup and just use powder over the Climb On — it moisturizes beautifully, and has even given me back my peaches and cream complexion! yaaaayyyy! I cannot recommend this highly enough!
the climb on! folks know their stuff and i can always trust that whatever they make is all natural, will work, and is safe to use. this stuff rocks!
